///.../// Feels like years have passed gettin here. Maybe in Pre-Tech, but not now. No, should've been here yesterday. But those damn engines keep breaking. Worthless shit, can't believe E|Gov won't give us our upgrade yet. Anyway, made it to the Algor Duality System this morning and caught our first glimpse of what we're gonna be dealing with the next few years. This planet, Pheno, is an absolute fuckin wreck. God only knows what else we'll find out here. Think the boys at Journey sent us the wrong coordinates...nothing here looks the least bit hospitable.
"There's asteroids everywhere...it's hard to even imagine being able to get through here without our shields takin a beating. Looks like the bottom of the surface had a bad run in with some sort of....HOLY SHIT!! Did you see that explosion on the bottom of Pheno. There's rocks flying everywhere! Jons, pull us outta range before those rocks tear us apart!"
"Aye aye sir. Readjusting course. Any place in mind?"
"I don't give a shit, just anywhere but here! Once we come those rocks pass us we'll come back in for a reevaluation."
"Understood. I'm pulling back towards Rankor. We can asses the situation there, maybe kill two birds with one stone."
"Sounds wonderful." As we pulled away, I noticed the particularly warm feeling of Algor. Reminded me of home, the Sun, Karol. But that was a long time ago...a very long time ago. Now, all I can do is pray, pray that she is safe, pray they are all safe. God will watch over them, keep them safe. And we'll be together again. The light is soothing to me, it takes me in, gives me comfort. And I feel as though I'm basking in His eternal light. ///...///
